Earth's Atmosphere

Earth's atmosphere is very different from the moon or a planet because the moon and planets have no atmosphere. And because the moon has no atmosphere every planet that is faced towards it ends up hitting it every time. The earths atmosphere is like a little blanket of gases and dust particles. Since the moon has no atmosphere the craters that hit there, there marks havent gone away for over 4 million years. It makes a big difference that the moon has no atmosphere.
